- Background:
The
Willett family's long distilling history began in France in brandy
production. They brought their expertise to the American Colonies in the
early 1600s, eventually settling in Bardstown, Kentucky. Here, they were
involved in the founding of several renowned bourbon distilleries.
Willett Single Barrel Estate Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
is handmade from carefully selected grains, proprietary yeast, and
distinctive limestone spring water. After distillation, the spirit is
aged in white oak casks until it reaches peak maturity. This is based on
expert barrel sampling, not an arbitrary age. This is an excellent
sipping whiskey with layer upon layer of aroma and flavor.
