The brand is named for Rev. Elijah Craig, the
name who allegedly discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon
when he stored his wares in barrels that had been charred by fire.
A true small batch, premium Bourbon, it is a must for any Bourbon
lover's cabinet. Part of the Heaven Hill Distillery family of
Bourbon Whiskies, It is known for being bottled exclusively from a
dumping of 100 barrels or less. This extra-aged Bourbon is
made from a special yeast recipe that has been a family secret for many
years. Heaven Hill (namesake - William Heavenhill) was
founded after the repeal of Prohibition in 1935, and is the
nation's largest independent, family-owned producer and marketer of
distilled spirits products. Based in Bardstown, Kentucky, it is the
second largest holder of Bourbon whiskey in the world.
